Ingredients

Aperol
  • 2 oz Aperol
apple cider
  • 3 oz apple cider chilled
prosecco
  • 3 oz prosecco chilled
sparkling water
  • 1 oz sparkling water
Ice
  • 1 Ice
thin apple slice
  • 1 thin apple slice
cinnamon stick
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Method

Build the spritz
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice. Make sure the glass is packed enough to keep the drink cold.
  2. Pour in Aperol and chilled apple cider. Tilt the glass slightly and let the liquids flow over the ice.
  3. Top with chilled prosecco and sparkling water. Add slowly to preserve bubbles.
  4. Stir gently once to combine. Use a light motion so carbonation stays lively.
  5. Garnish with the thin apple slice and cinnamon stick, then serve. Add them to the rim or float them on top for a warm autumn look.

Notes

Pro tip: chill the apple cider and prosecco for at least 1 hour so the spritz stays crisp longer after building. Store any leftovers in the fridge up to 24 hours, but carbonation will fade—best served immediately. Freezing is not recommended for the fizzy texture. If you want a lighter option, use prosecco brut and replace sparkling water with an equal amount of soda water to cut sweetness while keeping the bubbles.
