Ingredients

Honey-soy garlic glaze
  • 3 tbsp honey Use to create the sweet-savory glaze.
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Provides salty depth for the glaze.
  • 2 garlic Minced cloves to flavor the honey-soy mixture.
Pork chops
  • 4 bone-in pork chops 1 inch thick.
  • 1 salt To taste, for seasoning both sides.
  • 1 pepper To taste, for seasoning both sides.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Preheat and prep
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until combined and smooth.
Season and glaze
  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Brush the honey-soy mixture generously over each pork chop, coating the top surfaces so the glaze can caramelize.
Bake and finish
  1. Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes until the glaze begins to look glossy, then flip the pork chops.
  2. Continue baking at 400°F for 10–13 minutes, re-basting with the remaining glaze and stopping when the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the glaze is caramelized.
  3. Rest the pork chops for 3 minutes before serving immediately to help juices settle.

Notes

Pro tip: Brush on a generous glaze layer so it caramelizes into a shiny coating; if the glaze looks too dark before the chops hit temperature, loosely tent with foil. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat gently in a 325°F oven until warmed through. Freezing is not recommended for best texture. Dietary swap: For a lower-sodium version, use low-sodium soy sauce and taste the glaze before brushing.
